Estate cleanouts don't follow a neat schedule. That's why we offer rental periods up to 30 days — and extensions when you need them. Hopp's Dumpsters is a family-run company. We understand what this kind of project involves, and we'll never pressure you to hurry.
FOR PEORIA & CENTRAL IL FAMILIES
Why a Dumpster Makes
the Difference
The Volume of a Full Home
Peoria's older neighborhoods — the West Bluff, East Bluff, Glen Oak, and Uplands — are full of homes that have been family properties for generations. These homes are beautiful, and they're often packed with decades of belongings accumulated by the people who loved them.
When it comes time to clear them, the sheer volume is staggering. Furniture, clothing, household goods, tools, books, kitchenware, carpeting — clearing a full home produces far more material than any number of trash bags or regular pickup services can handle. A roll-off dumpster in the driveway changes the entire dynamic. Instead of making endless trips or rationing what you throw away, you have a single, dedicated container that holds everything you need to clear.
Our 15-yard dumpster holds the equivalent of five pickup truck loads. For most single-family home estate cleanouts in Peoria, one dumpster and one flexible rental period is exactly what's needed.
Flexibility When You Need It Most
Estate cleanouts are rarely straightforward. You may be sorting through belongings that have sentimental value, coordinating with other family members across different schedules, or managing the emotional weight of closing a chapter. The last thing you need is a dumpster company calling to rush your pickup.
Hopp's Dumpsters offers rental periods from a long weekend all the way up to 30 days. That means you can work at your own pace — sort what needs to be sorted, donate what can be donated, and fill the dumpster with the rest on your own timeline. If you get to the end of your rental period and you're not done, call or text us and we'll work out an extension.
We're a small, locally owned company run by Taylor and Kayla. When you call, you reach the owners — not a call center. That means real answers, real flexibility, and real care for your situation.
Serving all Peoria neighborhoods
From the bluff-side homes along Grandview Drive in Peoria Heights to the established streets of Hamilton Park, North Peoria, the East Bluff, and West Bluff — we deliver to every neighborhood in and around Peoria. Most residential driveways accommodate our 15-yard dumpster without requiring a street permit.
WHAT CAN GO IN
Estate Items & Disposal Guidelines
Furniture
Sofas, chairs, tables, bed frames, dressers, shelving units — all accepted. Mattresses are acceptable in most cases.
Household Junk & Clutter
Decades of accumulated items — knickknacks, clothes, kitchenware, books, toys, boxes of miscellaneous belongings — all go in.
Tools & Workshop Items
Non-powered tools, shelving, workbenches, and general workshop debris accepted. Large power tools without hazardous fluids are fine.
Home Fixtures & Materials
Old curtains, blinds, light fixtures, carpeting, trim, and non-structural materials from rooms being cleared or renovated.
Yard Items & Outdoor Furniture
Patio furniture, garden tools, potted plant debris, outdoor junk, and non-treated wood from sheds and outbuildings.
General Renovation Debris
If the estate involves any cleanup or light renovation — drywall, trim, flooring, cabinets — these go in alongside the household items.
Hazardous Chemicals & Paint
Paint cans, cleaning chemicals, pesticides, solvents, and any labeled hazardous materials cannot go in the dumpster.
Appliances with Freon
Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant and require separate disposal. We cannot accept these.
Tires, Batteries & Electronics
Car tires, lead-acid batteries, televisions, computers, and other e-waste must go to designated recycling facilities — not the dumpster.
Not sure about a specific item?
Estate cleanouts often turn up unexpected things — old cans of unknown contents, vintage appliances, mystery containers from the garage. Call or text us before you load it and we'll give you a straight answer. We'd rather you ask than discover a problem at pickup.

WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY
Real Customers.
Real Experiences.
Can't thank Hopp's Rollaway enough for all their help this week!!! We rented a dumpster which was dropped with ease on Sunday morning and had it full before the pickup date. I contacted them on Thanksgiving evening to see if they would want to pick it up early with the impending snow storm. They responded immediately and Taylor picked it up the next day! Thanks again!
- Natalie, Peoria IL
I had such a positive experience with Hopp's Rollaway Service. From the very beginning, they were kind, understanding, and incredibly easy to work with. I had a very difficult situation that required a last minute dumster that needed to be extended a little but longer as each layer was peeled away. They truly go above and beyond to provide the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. They were patient in answering all my questions, flexible with scheduling, and made the whole process stress-free. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of a dumpster service—you won’t find a more reliable or customer-focused company!

COMMON QUESTIONS
Estate Cleanout
Dumpster FAQs
How big of a dumpster do I need for an estate cleanout in Peoria, IL and Central IL Area?
Our 15-yard roll-off is the right size for most Peoria area residential estate cleanouts. It holds approximately five pickup truck loads — enough for furniture, household junk, clothing, and general debris from a standard single-family home. For larger estates or significant accumulation, you may need a second rental period. When in doubt, call us and describe the property — we'll help you estimate.
How long can I keep the dumpster for an estate cleanout?
We offer weekend, 7-day, 10-day, and 14-day rental periods. Extended rentals up to 30 days are available — most Peoria competitors cap at 7 days. Estate cleanouts are the most common reason people request longer periods, and we've specifically designed our rental options to accommodate the pace this kind of project requires. Extensions mid-rental are also available — just let us know before your period ends.
What can I throw away during an estate cleanout?
You can dispose of furniture, clothing, household junk, books, kitchenware, non-Freon appliances, carpeting, tools, and general non-hazardous materials. Items not accepted: paint, chemicals, refrigerators and freezers (contain Freon), air conditioners, tires, batteries, electronics, and medical waste. If you're unsure about something specific, call us before loading it — we'll give you a direct answer.
How much does an estate cleanout dumpster rental cost in Peoria?
Rentals start at $385 for a weekend and go up to $515 for a 14-day period. Extended rentals up to 30 days are available — call for pricing. Every rental includes delivery, pickup, and a 2-ton weight allowance. Weight overages are billed at $80/ton after pickup. See our full pricing page for complete details.
Do I need to be at the property for delivery or pickup?
No. You don't need to be present for delivery or pickup. Just make sure the placement area is clear of vehicles and obstacles, and we'll handle the rest. We'll send you a text when we're on the way for both drop-off and pickup so you always know what's happening.
What if the property is in a surrounding town — not Peoria itself?
We serve all of Central Illinois — including Peoria Heights, Pekin, Washington, East Peoria, Morton, Kickapoo, Brimfield, Chillicothe, Dunlap, Farmington, and many more communities. Delivery is included in the rental price throughout our service area with no fuel surcharges. If you're unsure whether you're in our service area, just call or text and we'll confirm.
What about furniture or items that could be donated?
That's entirely up to you. Many families sort through estate items and set aside pieces for family members, donation organizations, or estate sales before using the dumpster for everything else. We'll hold the dumpster on your driveway throughout your rental period while you do that sorting — we're not on a tight pickup schedule. Local Peoria donation options include Habitat for Humanity ReStore and various thrift organizations if you want furniture or household goods to go to a good home before the rest goes in the dumpster.
